Katherine Kiziah is an attorney with Searcy Denney’s pharmaceutical and medical device mass torts litigation unit.
Before joining the firm, she was an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Florida and the South Florida Bureau Chief of the state’s Consumer Protection Unit. In that capacity, she handled civil prosecution of fraud involving timeshares, telemarketing, the Internet, debt management, and deceptive advertising.
She also collaborated with federal, state, and local authorities in filing lawsuits, injunctions, and asset freezes against major corporations.
Ms. Kiziah served as president of the Palm Beach County chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers and was named one of the organization's 2016 Leaders in Law.
She is an active member of The Florida Bar’s Consumer Protection Committee and Advertising Grievance Committee. Ms. Kiziah was recognized as one of Florida's Top Government Attorneys by Florida Trend magazine’s Legal Elite in both 2014 and 2015. Additionally, she was honored as the 2013 Attorney of the Year by the Florida Attorney General’s Office.
An active volunteer in her community, Ms. Kiziah is president of the Friends of the Mandel Public Library in West Palm Beach.
Karen Terry is a Shareholder at Searcy Denney Scarola Barnhart & Shipley, P.A. in West Palm Beach and has been with the firm for close to 28 years. Recently, Ms. Terry became Florida Bar Board Certified in civil trial law as well as in health care and medical malpractice, which are the highest honors one can achieve.

Ms. Terry has tried many big cases, but in August 2007, she received a jury verdict of over $25 million in Polk County, Florida, against Walgreens for misfiling a prescription. In 2013, she also received a jury verdict of over $12 million in Palm Beach County, Florida, and was inducted into Florida’s Verdicts Hall of Fame for this case.
Notably, she achieved the first verdict in the U.S. against a medical concierge company for the negligence of its doctor in causing catastrophic consequences for a woman.
Ms. Terry has been selected as one of the top five litigators by Florida Trend magazine and the South Florida Legal Guide. For the past 27 years, she has been a member of the Florida Justice Association and the Palm Beach County Justice Association and has been active in her community.
She was recently inducted into the prestigious International Society of Barristers and the American College of Trial Lawyers. Ms. Terry also served as the past President of the Palm Beach Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates and was honored as Trial Lawyer of the Year in 2022.
Before joining Searcy Denney, Ms. Terry clerked for former Chief Judge Walter Colbath of the 15th Judicial Circuit. A native of South Florida, she graduated cum laude from Duke University in three years. She then graduated with honors and earned a master’s degree simultaneously from the University of Florida College of Law.
